Niecy Nash Niecy Nash may be one of the hardest-working women in show business with three TV shows on the air — The Soul Man, Getting On and The Mindy Project — but getting to where she is hasn’t been easy. “In 1985, I found my mother after she was shot by her boyfriend. In 1993, I buried my brother, and in 2006 I got divorced after 16 years,” Niecy tells Closer in an exclusive interview . Her mother survived, but after the shooting death of Niecy’s younger brother, she went into a deep depression. “When my brother was killed, my mother was in a severe depression, and one day before my 23rd birthday, I was at a loss and didn’t know what to do,” Niecy recalls to Closer. “What I did know was I had the ability to make my mother laugh.” And it worked. “She went from lying in the bed to sitting up in the bed. George Hamilton In the Hollywood of the early ’60s, young George Hamilton was in the right place at the right time. “The studios told me: ‘Date all the girls you can — just make sure they are under contract with us.’ I asked to see their roster!” George jokes with Closer in an exclusive interview. George dated many of the era’s most sought-after beauties, including the beloved Elizabeth Taylor. In the new issue of Closer Weekly he opens up about their relationship more than ever before. “Elizabeth was a unique human being,” George reminisces with Closer. “She was one of a kind. She could stay up all night and play cards with you or get on a plane and go anywhere. She was fun. She was bigger than life.”

Gloria Estefan Gloria and Emilio Estefan may have different opinions on what keeps their relationship so strong, but after 35 years of marriage, one thing is sure: they're doing something right! In the new issue of Closer Weekly , on newsstands now, the 56-year-old diva sings her husband's praises and says that Emilio is so funny he could have a second career as a comedian. “He makes me laugh!” Gloria tells Closer. “He gets up every day in a good mood and wanting to do stuff.
