Christina Aguilera This month, power vocalist and pop superstar Christina Aguilera stars on the November cover of REDBOOK . In the issue, the coach of NBC’s smash hit, The Voice, opens up about her co-stars on the reality singing competition, her decision to leave last season and her new workout philosophy. Why she left The Voice: I needed to decompress, wind down the clock and just breathe. I needed to find out who I am outside of that red chair. On why working out is not her priority: If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it’s not even a question. On how she looks at her co-stars on The Voice as family: I know these guys so well, they really are like my brothers, no joke. There’s a 12 year-old-boy in me who loves to come out and play with them.

**** THE WEB GOSSIP **** Christina Aguilera BOWL DELIGHTS – I watched the Super Bowl last night and was more than a bit under whelmed by their choice of musical entertainment; along with most of America it appears from today’s reports. The national anthem is one tough song to sing; years ago I watched from the stage as one of the then new-teen idols began to sing it. She did a terrific job … but, admitted to me as she walked off the stage … it was a stretch. Christina Aguilera attributed her lyric-mishap to one of nerves, but really, everyone noticed it. What with her debacle of the movie Burlesque; an album that was DOA on arrival; and, her recent divorce, it’s been a tough year for her. I wish her all the best. She wore Stephen Webster jewelry and the rings on her right hand spelled out “XTINA” (visible on ‘DJ’ pic attached). Guests included Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams and Selita Ebanks. DJ Jeffrey Tonnesen and DJ Vice kept the crowd going with a mash up of songs that included some music from Christina’s new album.
