Singer Chris Martin is desperate to get a ticket to one of pop legends Michael Jackson's comeback concerts. The Coldplay member missed out when the shows went on sale earlier this month.The rock star is a huge fan of Jackson, and was thrilled when the Pop icon announced his upcoming This Is It run at London’s O2 arena. But he was devastated after the Thriller legend’s 50-date residency sold out within hours of going on general sale, leaving Martin without a ticket to the shows. He says, "I was looking at it on the Internet and thought, ‘I’d better buy some for myself’ and I couldn’t. They were totally sold out. "To sell out like that is a testament to talent. It is just amazing to sell out 50 shows in one city in a big arena. It’s the biggest comeback since Lazarus. It’s good news - but not for me." Coldplays Chris Martin recently discovered his star wife Gwyneth Paltrow's voting forms for the upcoming Oscars, and talked his wife into letting him him contribute. As a former winner of the Best Actress Academy Award, Paltrow gets the chance to decide future Oscar winners. And Martin was very delighted to come across the important ballot by chance at their London home, and used the opportunity to familiarize himself with the voting process. He says, "I read the instructions, which is like, you’ve got to put your top five in order and if the number one isn’t really doing very well, then they move on to your number two and include that with the one that is doing well." And the singer was able to convince Paltrow, who claimed her Oscar for 1998’s Shakespeare in Love, to let him help with the decisions. He adds, "I did get a say on that form. Coldplay member Chris Martin rarely shares a bed with his Hollywood star wife Gwyneth Paltrow when he is writing music, only because he works at night in a hidden corner of their London England home.The singer confesses the creative process is a tortuous one for him, and his best lyrics are often fuelled by insomnia. Martin, who is currently promoting the band’s new album Viva La Vida, tells Rolling Stone magazine, "My problem is that I often take a sleeping pill in order to go to sleep, but then I get excited about a song, so I go and play music, and then it kind of kicks in halfway through."I have a little corner where nobody can hear me in the middle of the night, and that’s where I spend most of the night times. I wake up the next morning and find these strange notes to myself. I’m a little bit ashamed about it."

Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow is blasting reports that her marriage to Coldplay singer Chris Martin is in trouble, dubbing them "ridiculous."The actress claims the paparazzi made up the rumor after she refused to reveal Martin's whereabouts to photographers. Paltrow tells Britain's Glamour magazine how the snappers responded to her snub: "They were like, 'You're breaking up.' ... Ridiculous."And she warns fans they will never see pictures of the couple together: "You will never see us out publicly. We just don't want to be one of those couples." A video featuring footage of Coldplay star Chris Matin attacking a paparazzo for no reason, is all over the Internet. The angry singer is seen chasing down a photographer trying to get shots of his wife Gwyneth Paltrow as she left a New York hospital earlier this week. With a hood covering his face, angry Martin repeats, "Have some respect," as he wrestles the photographer to the ground and snatches his camera. But the celebrity snapper's pal retaliates as Martin climbs into the back of an awaiting silver sports utility vehicle, and hisses, "You give it (camera) back to him or this door's getting broken." The British rock star sees sense and hands the camera back, calmly stating, "You've gotta have some respect."The footage has been posted on several news Web sites including the New York Post and can be seen here at TMZ.

Gwyneth Paltrow believes her family have been "cursed" by cancer.The Oscar-winning actress lost her father Bruce to the disease in 2002, both her grandmothers and a cousin, who was only 23. Speaking at an international anti-cancer campaign last night, she said: "I am challenging these evil genes by natural means. Martin played a short acoustic set which included new Coldplay song 'Buckets of Rain' and cover versions of The Killers' recent hit 'When You Were Young' and Bob Dylan's 'Buckets of Rain', which he dedicated to Lily.
