  Jean Shafiroff With Flo Anthony Michael Spinks And Flo Anthony Spinks Veteran entertainment insider Flo Anthony has passed away from cancer late on Wednesday August 5th. She was 74.  Flo and I go back many many years. In the 80's and 90's I used to give her many items when she was with NY Post Page Six. We used to do many Television shows together Including the Joan Rivers Show at CBS Studios in NYC. Flo was the on air gossip queen and I was the set photographer.   Flo became the first woman to work in the sports department of the New York Post and this skyrocketed her to New York's famous Page Six. Flo made history as the first African American woman to write a column for a supermarket tabloid, writing the gossip column  “Eye on the Stars” for the National Examiner.   Over the years we both did many TV shows together, Flo was the celebrity expert and I was always brought in to talk about my adventures with one celebrity or another.   Later...

A few times when Dog The Bounty Hunter and Beth came to New York City, I got the honor to hang out with them. We had dinner with a great crowd of friends and had more laughs than I can remember. We also happened to be on FOX News the same night and we took pictures of them taking me away in handcuffs. So much fun. Jill And Husband Bobby Zarin PAGE SIX -- Jill Zarin‘s husband Bobby has died from cancer. He was 71. “With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer,” the Zarin family said in a statement on Saturday. “There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are. Thank you, everyone, for all your love and support during this difficult time.” Bobby was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June 2009 and it returned to his brain in November 2016. The couple celebrated 18 years of marriage earlier this month. At the time, Jill, who formerly starred on “The Real Housewives of New York,” gushed about the pair’s longtime relationship, writing, “Bobby is the most perfect man I know. He never loses anything, never forgets anything and when I think he is wrong … he is always right! … truly a Love Story.”

William Christopher & Alan Alda Iconic "M.A.S.H." actor William Christopher has died at the age of 84. Christopher's agent Robert Malcom issued a statement that the actor died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday at his home in Pasadena, California. He also tells The Associated Press that Christopher's wife says her husband died peacefully. Malcom said Christopher was diagnosed with cancer more than a year ago and had been in hospice since the beginning of the week. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and his two sons. Christopher is best known for the role of Father Francis Mulcahy on "M.A.S.H.," the 1970s TV show set during the Korean War.

Alan Rickman Alan Rickman, who played the role of Professor Snape in the famed Harry Potter films and portrayed villains in Hollywood movies, has died aged 69,according to media reports. Rickman got his big acting break appearing the Broadway version of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" in the mid-1980s before making his first major film appearance in "Die Hard" soon afterwards. That was to be the first of many performances as a villain, including the Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves." In addition to the Potter films, he starred in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street", "Truly Madly Deeply", and "Love, Actually". Rickman was a fixture in and around New York City. Louis Gossett Jr. Hollywood legend Louis Gossett Jr, best known for his Oscar-winning role as the tough drill instructor in "An Officer and a Gentleman," said yesterday that he was fighting prostate cancer. Gossett, a young 73, said his cancer was in its early stages and that he was going public to encourage African-Americans to seek early examinations and treatment for the disease.The acting icon said he had begun an intensive treatment program so that he can resume his acting schedule, and work with his Eracism Foundation, as soon as possible."I count this diagnosis among the many challenges I have faced in my life and overcome. Hall admitted yesterday that he has been battling cancer, but said he’s almost finished with the treatment and the disease is in remission. Hall said in a statement he is lucky to have been diagnosed with the “treatable and curable condition” – Hodgkin’s lymphoma – and thanked his Los Angeles California medical team for their skill in caring for him. ROBERT DE NIRO is asking a California judge to dismiss a lawsuit against him, filed by an insurance company.The Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company filed suit against De Niro last year (06), accusing the actor of fraud and deceit around the time of his 2003 cancer diagnosis.The Fireman’s Fund paid Fox studios $1.87 million (£935,000) after De Niro was forced to delay filming of Hide And Seek so he could receive treatment for prostate cancer.Days before his diagnosis, De Niro signed an insurance certificate, declaring he had never been "diagnosed with or treated for a disorder of (among other things) the prostate glands".The Fireman’s Fund have accused De Niro of misrepresenting his health when he signed the certificate on 13 October 2003, the New York Daily News reports.De Niro’s lawyer Robyn Crowther says, "They are an insurance company; they had an obligation to pay his claim.
