**** Barbra Streisand Blogs In Huffington Post To Tell America The Truth **** Barbra Streisand FROM HUFFINGTON POST: In this election, the people of America have to make a choice between two candidates with very different values, visions and solutions to the most pressing problems facing our country. The question voters need to ask themselves when they walk into the voting booth on November 6th is: "Will the country be better off returning to the policies of George W. Bush's Administration?" Like Bush, Governor Romney believes we need more tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% and fewer rules for Wall Street. He wants to roll back financial reform and set Wall Street free to write its own rules again. He wants to repeal health care reform and leave 30 million people without a safety net. And the trillions in tax cuts he wants to give to millionaires and billionaires will only force more devastating cuts to critical programs that serve the middle-class....

**** NEW YORK CITY GOSSIP Story by: Edward Callaghan **** Barbra Streisand The legendary Barbra Streisand almost went unnoticed by the well-heeled social crowd at the preview of this year's Antiques, Art & Design Show at the Park Avenue Armory hosted by Ellie Cullman, designer Jamie Drake and Dr. Eva Anderson-Dubin. The Brooklyn born diva was first spotted eyeing an antique table at one of the very posh booths before moving on to one of the high end jewelry displays. But it wasn't until the songstress tried- amidst the crowd like any other partygoer - to order a drink that folks started whispering about the woman in the black beret - Streisand over hearing simply smiled and nodded as if to say "Yeah, it's me". Publicist John Wegorzewski approached Streisand to welcome her back to her hometown. The singer shook pinkies with him as her hands were filled with show catalogues and said a simple "Thanks" with a big smile. Also in the fashionable crowd w...

She last performed there in 1961 as the opening act for Miles Davis at the famed club. The reception was held at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Her publicist Ken Sunshine also was there and our roving Retna photographer Walter McBride caught a quick snap of this public relations icon. Hey even the managers of managers Marty Erlichman was there to cheer Barbra on. Shame no one invited us to the concert. We could have used a good night out and would have loved to have seen some real talent for once! Photos By: Walter McBride / Retna Ltd.
