AMERICAN HUMANE HONORS BOARD MEMBER JEAN SHAFIROFF AS 'HUMANE HERO' @ WOLFFER ESTATE

  Jean Shafiroff As the sun set over the Wolffer Estate vineyard Wine Stand in Sagaponack, American Humane hosted a special cocktail party, Howl at the Moon, to honor American Humane Board Member Jean Shafiroff as a Humane Hero. Jean Shafiroff, who is an American Humane board member, has been the national spokesperson for the Feed the Hungry campaign which raised $1 million to provide 1 million meals at over 100 shelters and has hosted several fundraisers since its launch. Highlighted by the beautiful summer sky, the sold-out event was a tremendous success with many invited guests bringing their own dogs which only added to the fun evening. Military working dogs, who so valiantly serve alongside our troops to keep them safe from IEDs and other dangers, are too often retired overseas and are not able to be brought home to the loving homes of their former handlers. The program was launched to feed and care for animals across the country who were abandoned during the coronavirus crisis. Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff, who is an American Humane board member, has been the national spokesperson for the Feed the Hungry campaign and has hosted several fundraisers since its launch. Jean Shafiroff Jean Shafiroff, the National Spokesperson and Ambassador for the American Humane's Feed the Hungry Covid-19 Program, hosted cocktails for 50 people at Naia Restaurant at the Capri in Southampton, New York. Robin Ganzert, the CEO and President of the American Humane, was in attendance to greet guests. Jean Shafiroff and Robin Ganzert both spoke about the life changing work of the Feed the Hungry Covid-19 Program which has as its goal to feed 1,000,000 hungry animals at animal shelters across the United States by the end of 2020. An auction was held by Bill McCuddy and funds were raised.
