Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Bares: Strip U raised $1,568,114 in two performances on June 18, 2017, at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Stripathon, the online fundraiser led by the show’s cast and crew, raised a jaw-dropping and record-breaking $686,135 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, marking the second year in a row and only second time in Broadway Bares history Stripathon was the single largest contributor to the grand total. Allison Janney Blake Lewis Past American Idol runner-up and dance music artist Blake Lewis hosted at TAO’s Worship Thursday. After enjoying dinner and proclaiming, “TAO is always one of my favorite meals,” the singer headed upstairs to the nightclub where he commanded a VIP table in the Moat section. Around 1 pm he grabbed the microphone from DJ Five and got the crowd clapping. He beat boxed freestyle before performing his single Binary Love from his new album Heartbreak on Vinyl for a crowd that included adult film star Stormy Daniels, who was with a large group drinking Champagne. Also spotted at TAO on Thursday was Allison Janney, whose looks belied the fact that she was celebrating her 50th birthday. The actress, who dined at LAVO on Tuesday, was joined by friends for Lychee Martinis and wine, along with specialties from the kitchen.
