 Just amazing was last nights show Americas Got Talent with Long Island City's own Bay Melnick Virgolino tearing up the stage singing "Born To Be Wild". 

If anyone was born to be a star, it is Bay.  

 Bay is a star. I have been watching him grow up here on the East River since he was a baby. From the very beginning he had talent and everyone on New York City's East River community of Hunters Point South knows it. We watched him practice with his band at Frank Ottomanelli's By The Water and we watched his concerts for the community in our performance space over looking Manhattan. 

Talking to Bay you are just talking to a regular 10 year old kid. He loves to play soccer, he goes to school and he loves to ride his bike around the park. But man, when Bay takes the stage it is no longer a 10 year old kid, he turns into a rock star. I am always amazed by the transformation and so are the huge crowds that turn out for Bays performances.  

The kid has great parents John Vigolino and Michele Melnick. The best parents anyone in the world would want. His dad John is his roadie. His tour manager. His everything. He is always lugging around equipment, always doing sound checks and at the same time doing videos and photos. He is a amazing dad. Mom Michele handles the management end. The best mother in the world, she does it all. In between all of this they get him to school, get him to his soccer games and make sure he is having the best childhood anyone could have. 

 Bay is going to be one of the biggest stars in this century, mark my words.
