The 25th Annual Old Bags Luncheon will kick off with the organization’s official purse drive on Thursday, December 14th, 2023. Pioneer Linens is hosting the special affair from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at their iconic store where a generous 10 percent of sales will benefit the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County.

Pioneer Linens is a fourth-generation family-owned business that has been around since 1912. The prominent store continues to offer the largest selection of current fashion in high-end linens and is a repository of information about lifelong quality in luxury goods. The 8,000 square foot showroom in the West Palm Beach area will provide a luxurious setting for the affair at 210 Clematis Street. Marissa Adriaanse’s family has been a proud owner of the shop for over 100 years and serves as one of the Agency’s Junior Co-Chairs of the Old Bags Luncheon.

A festive party will showcase wine and tea along with valet parking. An added incentive for those coming into the store with donated bags for the Old Bags Luncheon will be a trunk show with a raffle.

The purse drive supports the designer handbag silent auction held during the Center’s signature fundraiser, The Old Bags Luncheon, planned for Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at The Breakers Palm Beach.  This year will honor 25 years of the beloved event that will celebrate a Silver Jubilee in grand style.

Those interested in donating a new or slightly used authentic designer handbag, but will miss the purse drive, can contact the Center for Family Services to coordinate a drop-off.  Proceeds from the luncheon will directly benefit the Center’s programming which strengthens individuals and families in our community by providing mental and behavioral health services.
