Trae Young was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks with the 5th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and subsequently traded to Atlanta. Here are just some of the young champions record breaking stats:

In his rookie year with the Atlanta Hawks, Trae put up the biggest numbers by a first-year player since Warriors star Stephen Curry in 2010. Young, who went 13 of 23 from the floor, finished with 35 points to go with 11 assists, becoming one of 11 rookies to achieve the impressive stat line. Others to accomplished the feat include LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West.

Now, the young rookie is taking aim at the NBA’s single-game 3-point record. Young believes he can hit more than 14 three-pointers in a game, a mark held by Klay Thompson.
