About HARD EVENTS:

HARD Events was founded in Los Angeles in 2007 by Gary Richards (who also produces and DJs under the name Destructo) to return to his roots promoting live concert events. Starting as a small underground party in downtown Los Angeles a decade ago, the HARD brand has grown to global levels. From such festival brands as HARD SUMMER, HARD Day of the Dead, the HOLY SHIP! electronic music cruise and HARD Red Rocks to HARD-hosted stages at major festival properties as the U.K.'s Creamfields, Australia's Stereosonic and the U.S.' Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, HARD has become synonymous with larger-than-life performances, educated party people, top-of-the-line productions and the brightest rising stars in future music. In 2016, HARD Events flagship festival HARD SUMMER was headlined by Ice Cube and Major Lazer, drawing approximately 150,000 fans to Southern California.

About Gary Richards aka DESTRUCTO:

Gary Richards is the founder of HARD Events, the world-renowned event and festival company recognized for landmark festivals such as HARD SUMMER, HARD Day of the Dead and the electronic music cruise HOLY SHIP! Though he is now a long-time LA resident (who even named his third EP West Coast), Richards grew up in Washington, DC with a music industry father who worked in radio and concert promotion. Prior to starting HARD in 2007, Gary Richards was handpicked by legendary producer Rick Rubin to handle A&R duties for the electronic music division at Def American Recordings. He has been included on the "50 Most Important People in EDM" list by Rolling Stone twice and featured on Billboard's annual Dance Power Players list of artists and execs for the last four years.

In addition to his duties as a concert promotion executive at Live Nation, Richards is also a recording artist and producer/DJ under the moniker DESTRUCTO. Since 2011, Richards has dominated the dance floor on his own terms. He went from the acclaimed Technology EP (2012) and Higher EP (2013) to high profile remixes for artists as diverse as Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder, Major Lazer, Rob Zombie, Digitalism and more. 2014 saw the precision-guided producer in the realm of g-house (where rap melds with house music) introduce his singular solo style with the West Coast EP, boasting collaborations with YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Problem, Too $hort, Warren G and Kurupt. Along the way, he's touched down for shows everywhere from Australia and Fiji to Tokyo and Ibiza in addition to crisscrossing the country on last fall's "The Renegade Tour" alongside the likes of D.R.A.M., E-40, iLoveMakonnen, Felix Da Housecat and more. His latest EP RENEGADE, out now on his label HITS HARD, features collaborations with E-40 and Too $hort, Ty Dolla $ign & iLoveMakonnen, Pusha T & Starrah, Problem and Freddie Gibbs. www.djdestructo.com
