Jimmy Van Bramer once again is going for the media attention instead of doing whats right for Long Island City. Van Bramer who is a notorious a media whore, said in a letter with other politicians to Mayor De Blasio that he supports the Amazon Headquarters in Long Island City.

In a story in the LIC Post on October 19, 2017, Van Bramer supported along with other politicians Amazon having a headquarters in Long Island City.

LIC Post - Letters of support for Long Island City as a possible site were also sent to de Blasio by Queens Borough president Melinda Katz and Assemblymember Catherine Nolan, with Council member Jimmy Van Bramer also expressing his support. All three signed a letter, along with more than 70 elected officials from the five boroughs, sent to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, on New York City’s potential as a home for Amazon HQ2.

UNBRIDLED FILM ON HEALING POWER OF HORSE-THERAPY SET FOR THEATRICAL RELEASE

San Jose, CA — December 6, 2018 -- UNBRIDLED will open in select theaters nationwide on January 18, 2019. Cinespots announced today they’ve partnered with Moving Visions Entertainment for the US theatrical release of the film.
UNBRIDLED tells the powerful story of an abused girl who teams up with an abused horse on a journey of healing. Directed by John David Ware, the film stars Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight; The Expendables), T.C. Stallings (War Room; Courageous), Rachel Hendrix (October Baby), Jenn Gotzon (Frost/Nixon) and introduces Tea McKay, playing Sarah Miller, the lead character.

THE CORRUPTION CONTINUES: SIX TRUMP WHITE HOUSE STAFF VIOLATED HATCH ACT

Washington — Six Trump White House officials including Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah violated the Hatch Act by using their official government Twitter accounts to engage in partisan political activity, the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) ruled today based on complaints filed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). OSC reprimanded each staffer noting that any future engagement in prohibited political activity will be considered “a willful and knowing violation of the law, which could result in further action.”

We are really excited that our extremely talented friend Jessica Proffes will be showcasing her work at The Grind Ultra Art Bash. Jessica has been a fixture in our neighborhood for many years here @ Hunters Point South, LIC Landing. Her art is exciting and the detail is absolutely amazing.
Born 1991 in Queens, New York, Jessica Proffes, known as Sinn, developed her taste for imagination and drawing very early on.

 Self-taught artist Sinn brings her creations to life with bold colors, realistic ideas and meaningful messages. Her imagery has a surreal edge, hinting at scenarios that may, or may not, hold darker subtexts. The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) celebrated the 21st Anniversary of the annual Collaborating for a Cure Benefit Dinner & Auction at Cipriani Wall Street, featuring an exclusive musical performance by Dawes. The annual gala raised approximately $2.5 million to support the SWCRF “Invest in Research” efforts that fund highly collaborative research projects focused on eradicating cancer. The Collaborating for a Cure gala was well-attended, undeterred by the snow storm and 14 other fundraising events taking place throughout New York City. Proudly, the 21st Anniversary’s gala seating encompassed 80% personal purchases and 20% purchases from corporations, whereas the other 14 fundraising events saw a turnout comprised of 20% personal purchases and 80% corporate purchases.
