JEAN SHAFIROFF TO DONATE DE LA RENTA'S TO MUSEUM

Jean Shafiroff

The Memorial Service for Oscar de la Renta was this week at St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City.

His family has asked that  donations in his honor be donated to New Yorkers For Children, a nonprofit that helps the  children in foster care in New York City.  (There are over 12,000 children in foster care in New York City alone.) The charity is based on Fashion Avenue.

We spoke with Fashion icon Jean Shafiroff, and she is planning that someday she will donate all of her OSCAR DE LA RENTA gowns to a museum. (The collection is very large and contains one of a kind pieces.)

Jean Shafiroff is a well known NYC philanthropist, and is on the Couture Council board, and a collector of Oscar de la Renta ballgowns wearing Oscar de la Renta in early 2014 at the Oscar de la Renta boutique for The Style Inspiration"; Oscar de la Renta; and Life of Oscar de la Renta.
