MORE LAMBERT --- British rock icons Queen have announced a new UK tour with American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert.

The “Don’t Stop Me Now” rockers will perform seven shows nationwide, including a date at London’s infamous O2 Arena with Lambert again on vocals.

The duo first teamed up in 2009 for a performance of “We Are the Champions” on American Idol, then again at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast in 2011.

In 2012 they performed their first live concerts together with three sold-out shows in the UK at London's Hammersmith Apollo as well as in Europe.

Queen Guitarist Brain May said: ''It's big and daring. We're going to do it to the max.''

Speaking earlier this month about their U. S. tour, Brian revealed:

"When Freddie went, I thought, ‘That’s it. We did that. It was a great life. Now, it’s time to have a different life’, and for years, we didn't try to be Queen in any way.”

So far, no U. S. dates … but I predict they will be announced very shortly.

LED DEAD --- It looks like Jimmy Page is finally resigned to the fact that there won't be a Led Zeppelin reunion.

Page was at a listening party for the upcoming reissues of Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy at Olympic Studios in London when NME asked him about another round for the band.

“I don't think it looks as though that's a possibility or on the cards, so there's not much more I can say about that. I'm not going to give a detail-by-detail account of what one person says or another person says. All I can say is it doesn't look likely, does it?”

Later, during a Q&A session, Page said that he will most likely be forming a new band next year to tour with music from his whole catalog.

“If I was to play again it would be with musicians that would be… some of the names might be new to you. I haven't put them together yet but I'm going to do that next year. If I went out to play, I would play material that spanned everything from my recording career right back to my very, very early days with The Yardbirds. There would certainly be some new material in there as well.”

“I love playing live, I really do. Live concerts are always an interesting challenge because it means you can always change things as you're playing every night. You can make it even more of an adventure. I would play all of the things I'm known to play – instrumental versions of Dazed And Confused etcetera, etcetera…”

The re mastered Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy will be released on October 28.

LOST AT TEN --- Hard to believe it's been 10 years since the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on a mysterious island and became central players in a battle between good and evil — not to mention the stars of a pop-culture phenomenon.

Lost's blend of brainy sci-fi ideas, twisty flashback narrative structure, fast-paced action, slow-burn mystery, and character-based drama proved irresistible to millions of viewers. Many of them scoured the show for clues about its countless secrets, taking to the Internet to analyze them in excruciating detail.

And though its finale proved as divisive as any show this side of The Sopranos, it remains broadcast TV's strongest argument that the network system can still produce fiction as rich, strange, and strong as anything on cable.

I loved the show and watched it religiously …and, as I've posited previously, HBO’s current-crackerjack show The Leftovers (also created by Damon Lindelof) totally reminds me of Lost.

NIELSEN DELIVERS --- 93% of Americans spend more than 25 hours a week listening to music making music the top form of entertainment for the average American.

The survey, conducted by Nielsen, addressed new music discovery, annual music spending, online and mobile habits, streaming preferences, live events, brand affinity and what motivated music purchases.

The survey found that most music listening was done at home (28%) followed by in the car listening (23%). Listening to music at work ranked 16% and 12% of people listened to music while exercising.

Nielsen concluded that music permeates so much of our lives because it’s woven in during all times of the day.

Curated streaming services such as iHeartRadio have become increasing popular with 36% of people now consuming music via the technology. 48% of people access music from their personal music library and 59% use a combination of streaming services and AM/FM radio to consume music.

Smartphones also have an impact in music consumption and are now the third most popular device for listening to music behind radio and computers. 7 out of 10 American’s now use a Smartphone and 39% of Smartphone users purchased music on the device.

Nielsen surveyed an online, third-party panel of 2500 consumers in August and September 2014 to determine its findings.

How could any "journalist" not know about the MASSIVE Queen Adam Lambert sold out arena tour of North America this summer (news flash: that's geographically where you find the US, maybe you need to refer to a globe of the world)
