STAR STUDDED WEDDING AT OHEKA CASTLE
****

Robert And Lorraine Silvetz

It was a night of romance and glamour for Lorraine Cancro and Robert Silvetz at Oheka Castle, the second largest privately-owned home in America, located on Long Island's Gold Coast.

Celebrities, entertainers, scientists, entrepreneurs and philanthropists came together to celebrate the new couple's marriage including Emmy-Winning TV Host Rita Cosby, Acclaimed Scientists Robert Cancro and Yi Jin, as well as Prominent Philanthropists Sara Herbert Galloway, Barbara and David Bender, Jim Luce, Errol Rappaport, among many others.

The storybook wedding took place recently, with guests coming from as far as Taiwan and Italy. Guests danced away the evening to the music of eight-piece band, "Billy and the Showmen," and were also entertained by Cheyenne Elliott, granddaughter of Dionne Warwick and cousin of Whitney Houston. Elliott belted out the famous Etta James' song, "At Last.” Award-winning singer/songwriter Tomaczek Bednarek also performed a beautiful and touching solo in honor of the new husband and wife dynamic duo.

The couple met when Lorraine, Executive Director of the Global Stress Initiative, was on a fact-finding mission to discover non-pharmacological treatments for veterans and their families impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her travels took her to the Brain Treatment Center in Newport Beach, California. There she met the the organization’s Chief Scientific Officer, Robert D. Silvetz, and the two shared the happy experience of not only caring about those with PTSD, they also discovered how much they cared about each other.

It was a swift courtship. Within 24 hours of their December 7th first date, they found themselves discussing marriage. Definitely a match made in science and heaven!
