JOAN RIVERS DIES TODAY AT THE AGE OF 81 YEARS

Joan River died today at age 81.This is very sad news as I have photographed Joan so many times over the years.

I was one of the staff photographers on the set of her CBS show and photographed Joan with every star that was a guest on the show. I was there when she was at St Paul's Church on Lexington Ave when she talked about her husbands sucide and the sadness I saw as she was trying to understand it all in her mind. 

My favorite photo shoot with Joan was when Milton Berle was on her show. I never laughed so hard when he talked about the size of his "Number". The look on Joan's face was priceless. Joan's dogs also were the star. I must have photographed her with so many of her pets over the years. She adored them so much and I think they were good company for her.The world has lost another great icon.
