Michael Douglas, Cuba Gooding Jr., Claire Danes, Josh Lucas and countless TV news stars packed the Monkey Bar on New York's Eastside on Wednesday to celebrate mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer and his new book, "When Lightning Strikes: Four Decades of Filmmaking." One of Hollywood's most prolific television and film producers, he's had many cinematic blockbusters including: Flashdance, Top Gun, Black Hawk Down, Enemy of the State and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Michael Douglas called Bruckheimer "One of the greatest movie producers ever" and recounted his spectacular life spanning from Detroit to Tinseltown. He praised his career, humility and work ethic, which he explained doesn't let up, even when they vacation together.
Among the famous newsies and Bruckheimer friends in attendance: Hoda Kotb, Gayle King, Rita Cosby, Ashley Banfield, Deborah Norville, Lesley Stahl and CBS chief executive Les Moonves.
