Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Of the many biographies written about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, most tend to give a chronological depiction of the events of her life, often with a focus on the powerful men with whom she was connected. Author Tina Santi Flaherty, a powerful woman herself, thinks that Jackie’s leadership skills are often overlooked and asserts that the same qualities—of focus, courage, vision, self-awareness, and quest for knowledge—that captivated some of the most interesting men of the 20th century, also allowed Jackie to have such a profound influence on the world stage...

On the twentieth anniversary of her death, Perigee Books, a division of Penguin Random House, is proud to publish a commemorative edition of WHAT JACKIE TAUGHT US: Lessons from the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (Perigee Hardcover; $25.00; May 6, 2014) by Tina Santi Flaherty.

Originally published in 2004, this new and expanded edition not only includes the original lessons drawn from Jackie’s life about how to live with poise, grace and zest, but also features new essays with insights and observations from many notable individuals sharing the ways in which Jackie’s life has influenced them—and society at large—over the past several decades, including:
