The New York Mission Society held the kick-off event recently for the forthcoming Champions for Children Gala at The Forbes Galleries.



Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, whilst the society’s board of directors and chairs paid respect to their honorees: Valentino D. Carlotti (Partner - Goldman, Sachs & Co.), Jean Shafiroff (Advocate and Philanthropist) and the Founders of the Sisulu-Walker Charter School of Harlem, New York State’s first charter school, Maureen Klinsky and William Allen.



Gala chairs Lloyd W. Brown II, Jay Moorhead and Stan Rumbough each introduced an honoree, who spoke for a few minutes on their pleasure and sense of pride at being recognized by the NYC Mission Society.

On March 12, 2014, New York City Mission Society will hold the 2014 Champions for Children Gala to honor Jean Shafiroff, Valentino Carlotti and the Founders of the Sisulu -Walker Charter School of Harlem.
