Summer is almost here and we are starting to pack for a new summer and a new adventure at Dune Point in Cherry Grove Fire Island.
Petra and Rick have been there for over a month already, painting, renovating and getting everything ready for their guests. Petra's mom Sona and all the beautiful girls are on their way from the Czech Republic once again to make your stay the best on Fire Island. There are going to be many surprises this season, and nightlife legend Daniel Nardicio, who brought you Liza Minnelli and a ton of other stars last season has another all star lineup at the Ice Palace. Donna and Jacque from Cherry's On The Bay are already there painting and putting up the famed Cherry's tent overlooking the bay. And they are preparing their restaurants, Sand Castle On The Ocean and Cherry Lane Cafe.

CELEBRITY CHEF AT ISLAND BREEZE
Stephen Daniello
Another great announcement is Celebrity Chef Stephen Daniello has packed up his recipes and moved across the street to The Island Breeze.
The legend is returning to the island as the Executive Chef of The new and improved Island Breeze for the 2013 summer season.
Chef Stephen has been in Cherry Grove and the Pines for over 12 seasons now and has played a major roll in it's culinary and restaurant growth. Chef Stephen first arrived in Cherry Grove back in the early 90's as a day tripper and weekend club kid. He returned in 2002 as member of the island staff at the newly opened Floyd's breakfast and lunch restaurant with (owner) Brett. After his first season ended Stephen spent the next 4 seasons as a waiter in the Pines at the Pines Bistro with (0wners) PJ and Patrick.
Chef Stephen returned to the Grove in 2009 to take over Jumping Jacks Seafood Shack, now the Sand Castle on the beach, and gracefully restored it to it's traditional beach style menu under owners Kyle and Anthony.
After Jumping Jacks sold to new owners Chef Stephen worked his way to the top and successfully reined over the 5 Star Top of the Bay Bistro owned by Ron King. It was there that the Celebrity Chef was born and a culinary explosion changed the course of Fire Island forever. Now after his 3 season rein at Top of the Bay as one of Fire Island premier chefs Stephen, is about to embark on one the most difficult tasks in the history of the Grove.
With a newer and much bigger state of the art kitchen and much larger dining room all eyes will be on Celebrity Chef this season.
Diamond Dave (Owner), John Doyle (Manager), and Chef Stephen will be there to cater to your culinary and dining expectations.
And more surprises are happening. Be prepared to see television crews roaming the boardwalks. We will have more information on that soon. Yes we are packing our bags, we love off season the best and we will be there sometime in May. Join us for the fun!

Johny Pool
The legend himself, Johny Pool, known to millions of radio listeners as Uncle Johny on Elvis Duran And The Morning Show, once again returns to the island. Yes, Johny is packing his blenders and all his drink recipes and can be seen at Cherry's On The Bay daily. We love Johny, he has known me since I was a kid, many centuries ago. Back then, we gutted a fish to use as a blender.
DJ SUSAN LEVINE RETURNS
I won't use a photo of our Famed DJ Susan Levine, she hates my photos and no matter how good I think they are, she will bitch. But Susan after a wild winter spinning at the top clubs in New York City, is returning to Cherry's On The Bay. We can't wait to hear the sounds of summer with Susan spinning her top hits.
