Last week the electronic pop, dance band, Peachcake, released a new full length album titled Unbelievable Souls. This full length album release is being accompanied by a music video of their most recent single The World Is Our Platform To Mean Something. 

Even without the benefit of a major publisher, You Matter, one of Peachcake's singles from the new full length album, has found its way into rotation on FM/College stations across the US. You Matter also made appearances in several network TV shows including, MTV's The Challenge, Showtime's The Real L Word, TNT's HawthoRNe, and E!'s Keeping Up With The Kardashians. A new reality show featuring the band called The Power of Peachcake Thinking is set to air this spring on NBC and FOX affiliates across the south region of the U.S. This show will highlight the real life story of being on the road from struggles to successes from the band’s point of view.

“The music video The World Is Our Platform To Mean Something is a very personal video about our moving and revelatory travels and experiences while touring in Europe (particularly performing in Norway at the Slottsfjell Music Festival)”, says Stefan Pruett, Lead Singer of Peachcake. “The way people seemed to get us as a band, and love what we are doing was profound; we hope this video will remind anyone who's involved in the making of art, music, film, etc. why they got into doing it in the first place like it did for us.” 

In addition to playing Norway's premiere music festival, Slottsfjell, alongside New Order, Janelle Monae, Suicidal Tendencies, and Friendly Fires, the band has shared the stage with Cage The Elephant, Washed Out, She Wants Revenge, Neon Trees, and Peter Murphy (Of Bauhaus). Peachcake has performed at several festivals including Warped Tour, SXSW, CMJ, and NXNE. 

“Peachcake is a semi-musical collective of closet superheroes with odd, but intriguing superpowers that wanted to make a band in an attempt to save the world from audio-terrorism", says Stefan Pruett about the bands arrangement. “After years of experimenting with sound and what we wanted it to ultimately represent (and several personnel changes later), we settled on what that amalgamation would be through the creation of our newest full length album, Unbelievable Souls”, adds Pruett. ”By enlisting some help from Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Holy Ghost!, Theophilus London) and friends, it became clearer what the sonic objective was, and the results were greater than we could have originally conceived. The making of the new album, Unbelievable Souls allowed us to convey the message personal empowerment and musical serenity we've always hoped to achieve.”
