The new issue of Us Weekly is all about the happy engagement news of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux.To ask for Jennifer Aniston's hand in marriage, Justin Theroux chose a very special day (Friday Aug. 10, his 41st birthday) and a very special place: NYC, where the free-spirited couple have spent countless hours together. After the actor and screenwriter presented her with the ring, "Jen cried," a confidante tells the new Us Weekly, out now, adding that Theroux's proposal was "simple." To celebrate the engagement, the freshly engaged pair headed to Blue Hill, an acclaimed Greenwich Village eatery just steps away from Theroux's downtown NYC apartment, where he and Aniston have dined before. It's the happiest ending imaginable for the ‘Wanderlust’ costars, who have been dating for a year and a half.
A rep for Aniston confirmed the joyous news to Us late Sunday; Theroux's rep added in a statement, "Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage."

Also included in this week’s issue are details on the imminent wedding of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. After years of rumored weddings, the date is finally set. A source reveals to Us that the vows of the century will take place in the next few weeks at the quaint 16th-century chapel on the pair’s 1,000-acre Chateau Miraval estate in France. The kids will decorate the chapel with homemade drawings. And Pitt, a shutterbug, will let them choose family photos from his collection to hang. Following the nuptials, the famous duo will change their surnames to Jolie-Pitt, says a source.

Jon Stewart had a few words of advice for Robert Pattinson. As the host of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart cracked open two pints of Ben & Jerry’s on the August 13 show, he deadpanned to his guest, “Boy, you are better off — kick her to the curb!” He’s in good company: In the weeks since Us broke the news of Kristen Stewart’s dalliance with director Rupert Sanders, 41, pals including Tom Sturridge and Sienna Miller have been “begging Rob to end it for good,” a source close to the actor, 26, tells Hot Stuff. “They think she will hurt Rob again.” Though the Twilight pair talk occasionally, says a source, “he’s put distance between them.” Which has left Stewart, 22, twisting in the wind. Says an insider, “Her friends think she doesn’t know how to deal with this.” Pattinson, on the other hand, is putting on a brave face. At the August 13 afterparty for his Cosmopolis premiere, says a witness, the actor gamely sipped a Budweiser: “He looked happy!”

Even Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s August 12 baby shower was fresh to death! “It was over-the-top,” says a source of the 120-guest fest, attended by Jersey Shore cohorts Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. The party featured a three-tier cake and a leopard and blue color theme for the star, 24, who’s expecting son Lorenzo with fiancé Jionni LaValle in September. Marvels an invitee: “The had a crazy number of gifts, more than Toys R Us could provide!”
