Elizabeth Shafiroff, Dimitra Bennett and Lindsey Spielfolgel hosted the SocialTees Animal Rescue Benefit (S.T.A.R.) at Sway Lounge in SoHo, New York to raise awareness and funds to place abandoned animals in loving homes. Those in attendance included Jean and Martin Shafiroff, Sharon Bush, Ramona Singer (Real Housewives of New York), Countess LuAnn de Lesseps (Real Housewives of New York), Jacques Azoulay (Real Housewives of New York), Robin Cofer (owner Sway), Dominick D’Alleva (owner Sway), Unik Ernest (founder Haiti Edeyo), Bill Grimmer (Celebrity Dog Trainer), Tracy Stern (owner SalonTea), and Harper Dimmerman (Justice Hunter Author).
Partnering with a variety of sponsors including David’s Team, 0808Imports, and Deny Designs, Shafiroff, Bennett and Spielfolgel had about 200 people in attendance. “We are so grateful to work with such an amazing organization,” said Shafiroff, “the funds raised this evening will provide care and comfort to many animals that would otherwise be left to fend for themselves.” S.T.A.R has placed over 3,000 dogs, cats, birds and reptiles.
About SocialTees Animal Rescue (S.T.A.R.):
A non-profit, strictly no-kill 501c3 organization that takes abandoned animals from kill shelters and provides them with a safe haven and veterinary care until they are placed in a proper home. S.T.A.R. rehabilitates and places over 3,000 dogs, cats, birds and reptiles with loving homes per year. All dogs and cats for adoption are spayed/neutered, tested, vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, de-mited, microchipped and more. S.T.A.R. also runs a special program for underdogs and undercats, housing over 20 feral cats and taking on many amputees, blind, and injured animals as possible before they are euthanized.
