In the new issue of Us Weekly, which looks at how Johnny Depp, unable to save his relationship with longtime love Vanessa Paradis, is seeking the comfort of his sexy costar, Amber Heard. On June 19, his publicist released a statement confirming what had been rumored for months: The Dark Shadows star, 49, and his partner of 14 years, French singer Vanessa Paradis, 39, had ended their relationship. As Depp’s relationship crumbled, the lonely former lothario — who romanced Winona Ryder and Kate Moss in the 1990s — turned to women for comfort. Published reports have linked him to Shadows costar Eva Green, 32, and his publicist, Robin Baum, 48. And sources confirm to Us he wooed both an extra on 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and his Rum Diary costar Amber Heard, 26. Says a source of Heard, who has been hooking up with Depp for months, “He’s smitten by her.” It wasn’t until they began promoting the 2011 movie that a romance sparked. “They started sleeping together during the press tour,” says a Heard source. Though Depp was technically split from Paradis during those years, she didn’t appreciate his dalliances. One source who overheard a fight between the pair at a hotel in 2010 says Paradis screamed at him about another woman. “She was shouting at him,” says the witness. “She said, ‘If I see her, I’ll drown her!’
However, Depp and Paradis are determined to remain amicable for their children. And though he is spending time with Heard, Depp is mourning the collapse of his family. “It’s heartbreaking for all of them,” says the Depp pal. “Their loved ones are just trying to be there for them at this horrible time.”

John Mayer held court with Jennifer Lawrence during an outing to the L.A. theme restaurant Medieval Times June 16. “They were playful and nudging shoulders,” says a source, adding that in their party of 20, the Hunger Games star, 21 — who arrived minus her boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult — “was the only one listening to him!” The unattached singer, 34, notorious for his wooing skills with It girls (think Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson), “kept telling the waitress to get her more beers as a joke — implying that he wanted to get her drunk,” adds a Times staffer, who notes the actress stuck to only two. “She laughed about it.” Good thing her beau of two years also has a sense of humor. “Nick thinks her flirting was funny,” says a pal of the actor, 22. “He trusts Jennifer. She gets hit on all the time because they are separated a lot, but they’re still in love.”

John Travolta has some competition! Oprah Winfrey, 58, forged a big bond with Kim Kardashian and family during her recent sitdown interview on OWN. “She and Khloé especially hit it off. Khloé had her dying laughing,” says the source. “It meant so much because she loves Oprah!” The talk show mogul was so enamored with the clan that she agreed to appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, says the source: “Oprah signed the release!” (A Winfrey rep confirms that she will appear on the E! show.)

What’s in the water on the set of True Blood? Hot Stuff has learned that Anna Paquin, 29, and her husband of nearly two years, Stephen Moyer, 42, are expecting a double delivery in the fall! “I’m so excited for them,” the couple’s costar Sam Trammell — father to 11-month-old twins Winston and Gus with girlfriend Missy Yager — tells Hot Stuff. “We sent them a special gift. It’s so interesting that True Blood has become, like, the ‘twins’ show.” And though Moyer has two children, Lilac, 10, and Billy, 12, from a previous relationship, he’s been listening intently to Trammell’s advice on the ins and outs of raising multiples. “It’s harder, having twins, but it’s all we know. So we’re trying to impart some decent wisdom,” Trammell adds. “I told them to hold on tight!”

Now Jason Segel is focusing on her daughter, Matilda, 6. “Jason is obsessed with Michelle and wants to be a father figure to Matilda,” says a source close to the actor, 32, who has been dating the Take This Waltz star, 31, for more than five months. “He’s been doing all sorts of ‘dad stuff’ with her, like drawing and playing music. They’ve been spending time together whenever possible.”

She’s known for her wit, and Kelly Osbourne met her match in Matthew Mosshart. “He’s a little goofy, so their humor works well together,” says a pal of the vegan chef, 28. She needs that with the sad news of her brother Jack’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis, and the source adds Kelly said she and her guy are ready to help at a moment’s notice. Mosshart has also won over her friends, says the pal, and “he’s fallen for her hard.” The E! host, 27, clearly feels the same. “I’m in love!” she tweeted June 20.
