I went down to the Pink Elephant tonight to see a very old friend, Angie Bowie. She looked stunning, like it was just yesterday I had seen her and that yesterday was around 15 years ago.
In the old days, Angie and I had some wild times together. We had book parties, birthday bashes and went everywhere in NYC together. Those were the days when New York was at it's best. We had the Limelight, The Roxy and so many big venues and we were king of them all. The 80's and 90's were the golden age of the New York Club scene and everyone knew who we were.
It was great seeing Angie tonight. She looked fantastic and everyone was talking about her new book Lipstick Legends. But that was what this event was for. Her new fantastic project that everyone wanted to celebrate. The place was so packed, I really did not have the time to spend with a old friend, so next Monday I'm taking her to dinner so we can catch up on so many things.
