bahr | chébahr | ché, a hidden gem in a quaint location in Cooper Square, is the newest addition to the contemporary wine bar scene, bahr | ché is re-inventing the traditional wine bar by offering events to help raise the consumers wine knowledge. Monday through Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, noted guest sommeliers, meet with guests and ensure that every dining experience is enjoyable and informative. The warm lighting and romantic décor sets the perfect atmosphere for a perfect evening out. Whether enjoying wine or small plates, each guest receives a complimentary tasting card; to help improve their wine knowledge, so you too can become a wine connoisseur!
Monday Nights: Wine Array Tasting: The Full Winery Experience in Cooper Square
Every Monday, guests participate in the full winery experience. This includes a blind tasting of four different categories of wine, creating a competition as guests try to correctly guess which wine is which. Intentionally done to help guests decipher which wine their palette prefers. Best of all, if patrons match the wines correctly – they receive a free glass!
Tuesday Nights: Wine Pairings and Tastings
Each guest sommelier on Wine Pairing Tuesdays determines the wine category of the evening. The wine chosen, determines which pairing is selected with chocolate or cheese. All pastries and cheese are provided by some of the top purveyors in New York City including D’Artagan, Murray’s Cheese, and Bouchon Bakery. Of course, feel free to bring your own bottle— although a corkage fee will be applied.
Wednesday Nights: Winemaker Wednesdays
A noted guest wine sommelier collaborates with bahr | ché patrons every Wednesday to discuss different wines, vineyards in addition to answering any questions. With this setting, Wine Maker Wednesdays is the perfect date night or fun night out because either way you’re in for great conversation and amazing wine!
Thursday Nights: Charity & Wine Mixer at bahr | ché
Enjoy your night out while giving back to a great cause! Every Thursday, bahr | ché collaborates with a charity to raise money for the cause. Past charities bahr | ché has through its patrons has contributed to include, The Clean Water Foundation as well as Cell Speed Ahead.
