US WEEKLY TALKS COURTNEY ROBERTSON

The Us Weekly Cover

The new issue of Us Weekly, which looks at Courtney Robertson’s scheme to trap Bachelor Ben Flajnik and how she might be the most hated contestant ever. With her nasty comments about fellow competitors and her laserlike focus on winning Flajnik, the 28-year-old model has become one of the series’ most polarizing, love-to-hate-her contestants of all time. “I don’t have one good thing to say about her,” ousted contender Jennifer Fritsch tells Us.

And according to sources, she has always been a maneater, and her past may come back to haunt her. Just a year ago, Robertson was in a blissful relationship with photographer Cavan Clark. They started dating in February 2011, and within months they were already talking marriage. “He was planning to propose to her with a 3-carat Tiffany ring that she picked out,” says a Robertson source. But that July, she suddenly cut things off — over the phone. “She told Cavan she needed time to be single. She told him she needed three months alone.” In reality, she had learned she had been cast on the ABC dating show. Sure enough, months later “Cavan turned on the TV and she was on The Bachelor,” says an insider. One remnant of that relationship has the potential to ruin Robertson’s reputation: The two made a sex tape before splitting, according to sources. “It’s pretty dirty,” says an insider.

Clark was just one of several men Robertson has beguiled since moving to L.A. after high school to pursue modeling. After splitting from her hometown sweetheart, chef Chris Slawson — “The long distance was definitely tough,” Slawson tells Us — she dated former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe for two years until 2007. Once Metcalfe went to rehab that year for alcohol addiction, Robertson — who is typically seen clutching a glass of wine on The Bachelor — left him. “He got help with his substance abuse problems and she wasn’t interested in that lifestyle,” says the Bachelor insider. After Metcalfe, she briefly reunited with Slawson, then dated model Dylan Hall, CAA agent Jim Toth — a.k.a. Mr. Reese Witherspoon — and Entourage star Adrian Grenier. A source close to the actor recalls Robertson being “super aggressive. They went on a few dates, but she was a stage-five clinger. She pushes herself onto men.” According to the Robertson source, “She wants to snag a rich dude.” Flajnik is a good bet. One source says he made a million dollars by the time he was 25.

Also in US Weekly is a feature on Teen Mom Maci Bookout’s split from Kyle King. After months of fighting, the MTV stars called it quits in early February, days shy of their two-year anniversary. Though the two had been living together since the summer of 2010, “Maci wanted something way more serious,” explains an insider. “She was never happy enough just being a couple. She always wanted more, more, more, whether it was a ring or another baby.” As for King, “he just wasn’t able to handle the pressure anymore,” says the insider. “So he broke it off. It’s really sad because they love each other, but she pushed him away.”

TAYLOR’S NEW ROMANCE: Over Before It Began

Eddie Redmayne

Swift and Eddie Redmayne sparked, but fizzled fast.

It started as a great, well, love story: Last October, Taylor Swift, 22, met Brit actor Eddie Redmayne, 30, while auditioning to play Eponine in a film adaptation of Les Misérables. “They hung out in New York City with the movie’s execs,” a source tells Hot Stuff. “And Taylor developed feelings for him fast.” The crush was mutual for Redmayne — who attended Eton College with Prince William — and the duo kept in touch after he returned to the U.K. “Taylor loved this image of a British boyfriend,” says the source. Come January 24, they reunited in London, where the film starts shooting this month. They went for drinks and rendezvoused at Swift’s hotel the next night — but days later, her hopes for romance vanished. After returning to the U.S., Swift learned British actress Samantha Barks had landed the part of Eponine instead. “And Eddie’s not interested in a long-distance relationship,” adds the source. “The elements were against them. It’s a shame.”

ADAM & ANNE: Inside Their ‘Big Fight’

Has this love taken its toll? A source tells Hot Stuff that Adam Levine, 32, and his supermodel girlfriend of two years, Anne Vyalitsyna, 25, “got into a big fight in late January — and she broke up with him!” What was behind the battle? Despite Levine serenading Vyalitsyna with his hit “Moves Like Jagger” while escorting her down the runway at the November 9 Victoria’s Secret fashion show — not to mention giving her a $15,000 Birkin bag for Christmas — the Russian stunner “doesn’t think he treats her well,” the source says. But all may not be lost. Levine’s rep tells Us that the split is “100 percent not true,” and Vyalitsyna enthusiastically tweeted about the Voice premiere during the Super Bowl.

Zac Holds Lily’s Hand

Zac Efron

Who’s the fairest of them all? For Zac Efron, 24, it’s Mirror Mirror’s Lily Collins! The two arrived hand in hand at L.A. eatery STK for a pal’s birthday dinner February 4. “They were definitely together!” a witness reveals. Efron — who was hotly pursued by Demi Moore, 49, after she split from Ashton Kutcher, 34 — continued to party that night with Collins, 22, at Lexington Social House. The actress dated heartthrob Taylor Lautner, 20, for a year before splitting last September, and a source dishes, “Zac is definitely her type!”
