Following a front-page splash in the New York Times Arts section, “They Call It Myanmar” begins screening this week at Landmark Theaters in major East Coast Cities. Hollywood Reporter says this film “Defies the odds… delivers a compelling portrait (that) dwells with you… The definitive Burma film.”
The film, with Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi, starts in New York City at Landmark’s Sunshine Theater with shows on Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM (Monday already sold out).
Director Robert H. Lieberman and Producer Deborah C. Hoard will make special guest appearances at the theaters as the film tours various cities.
The film then plays in Philadelphia on Wednesday, February 29 at 7 pm at Landmark’s Ritz East.
Thursday & Monday, March 1 & March 5 the film is in Washington D.C. at the E Street Theatre at 7 pm
Boston is scheduled for March 12 and 13 at the, Kendall Square Cinema
