RUM OR GEORGI VODKA FOR CARIBAYA QUEEN
You can lead a horse to rum, but you can't make her drink.... but if she does she can win! So says Michael Borchetta, the legendary country music promoter and executive who helped launch the career of Tim McGraw and other best-selling artists.
Borchetta, partnered with Star Industries President Martin Silver, owns the horse Caribaya Queen, named for Caribaya Rum because it liked the taste of the popular New York-based rum infused in its diet. When the horse recently won her first race in Canada, Borchetta flew up to New York to meet Silver to celebrate at the famed Friars Club. The horse was also the talk of the recent Country Music Awards in Nashville.
