For the sixth consecutive year, Tropicana Casino & Resort is brewing up a terror-ific Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Leave the candy to the kids and join the boo crew at Tropicana for grown-up fun that includes a Halloween costume contest, food and drink specials and frightfully fantastic entertainment.
Come As You Aren’t
Green Lantern? Snooki? A coven of vamps? Disguise is the limit at Tropicana’s Sixth Annual Halloween Costume Contest, taking place at 11 p.m. in The Quarter’s Fiesta Plaza. The contest is open to all IN Card and Diamond Club Card members. Guests can sign up for an IN Card or Diamond Club card on the night of the event at the New Member Center located in The Quarter.
The contest will feature three categories: Best Overall, Scariest and Best Group. Prizes for the event will feature a $500 gift card to Tropicana for Best Overall, overnight stay with gourmet dinner for two and show tickets for the Scariest and $50 Tropicana gift cards for each member of the Best Group.
Here Comes The Mummies
Here Come the Mummies are a 12-piece funk band seriously known for being incredibly unserious. The group is rumored to be made up of well-known and professional musicians who choose to keep their identities under wraps with mummy garb.
These funk rock ambassadors from the underworld will be performing live, in the Grand Exhibition Center at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 29. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the show.
