Barbra Streisand

The legendary Barbra Streisand almost went unnoticed by the well-heeled social crowd at the preview of this year's Antiques, Art & Design Show at the Park Avenue Armory hosted by Ellie Cullman, designer Jamie Drake and Dr. Eva Anderson-Dubin. The Brooklyn born diva was first spotted eyeing an antique table at one of the very posh booths before moving on to one of the high end jewelry displays. But it wasn't until the songstress tried- amidst the crowd like any other partygoer - to order a drink that folks started whispering about the woman in the black beret - Streisand over hearing simply smiled and nodded as if to say "Yeah, it's me". Publicist John Wegorzewski approached Streisand to welcome her back to her hometown. The singer shook pinkies with him as her hands were filled with show catalogues and said a simple "Thanks" with a big smile. Also in the fashionable crowd were Jean Shafiroff, Anka Palitz, Margo Langenberg, image guru Montgomery Frazier, actress Cassandra Seidenfeld Lyster, designer Berry Brown, "Prince of Chintz" Mario Buatta, Star Trek: The Last Generation producer Wendy Neuss, actress Cindy Guyer, model Veronica Webb and Robin Cofer with main man Domenick D'Alleva.
