The annual gala Love Heals at Luna Farm in memory of Alison Gertz who died of AIDS, hosted this year by Mary Alice Stephenson, Peter Davis and Hilary Rhoda pulled in an eclectic round of celebs including music mogul Russell Simmons, Real Housewives Sonja Morgan and Rhoda’s main squeeze hockey player Sean Avery.

Chuck & Ellen Show Their Puppy Love



Ellen and Chuck Scarborough will host the Second Annual Unconditional Love Event, on Saturday, July 16, a benefit for the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. Sandra McConnell and Chris Obetz along with Liz Brown and Leslie Alexander will serve as the benefit Chairs. The event, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will honor Karen LeFrak for all of her humanitarian efforts on behalf of animals, as well as people. LeFrak was the first person, along with her dog, Jewel, to be granted access to Mount Sinai Hospital in stroke and rehabilitation pet assisted therapy. Soon after, the services were extended to oncology and psychology followed by a pilot program in pediatrics. Following the 9/11 tragedy, she Co-chaired DOGNY which raised over $ 2 million for search and rescue dogs across the United States.

Hosted by Marcus Samuelsson and Rosanna Scotto over 40 local spots will be dishing out small-plate tastings. .20+ vineyards will be displaying their best with the East End’s top wineries including Duck Walk, Wölffer Estate, and Channing Daughters, Sparkling Pointe and more. A portion of the proceeds go to support East End food pantries.

Gere Gets His Zen On


Buddhist actor Richard Gere took his son, Homer James, 11, to the Knicks’ Basketball Clinic in East Hampton Saturday afternoon, but reportedly he didn't just stand on the sidelines. Instead, Gere practiced yoga while watching his son play. A source spotted the star sitting in the "lotus position" through most of the two-hour clinic. He also did some "complicated floor stretches." A very mellow Gere than warmly greeted fellow parents.

Kim Kardashian Joins Kelly Ripa to Promote Super Saturday


Kim Kardashian will join Kelly Ripa to promote “QVC Presents Super Saturday Live” on July 30 at 2 p.m. Ripa will host the exclusive designer sale, held at Nova’s Ark in Water Mill, for the eighth time this year. Kardashian will appear on QVC from the sale site. Net proceeds benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund The yard sale to end all yard sales features pricey designer duds at a fraction of their cost thanks to the efforts of Donna Karan who 14 years ago helped launch the sale in honor of her friend the late fashion editor Liz Tilberis.
