The legendary athlete was seen lounging by the pool of the East End’s favorite Southampton Inn. He arrived early with friends and nestled poolside at the bar sipping cocktails. Witnesses noted that Rodman was very personable, making jokes and hanging out with all of the staff at the Inn.
That night, the former basketball superstar and his entourage held court at the Hamptons’ hottest new restaurant and bar, Southampton Social Club. The group shared a feast, ordering specialty dishes from the menu including Shrimp Cocktail, Stella Artois Steamed Blue Mussels, Roasted Chicken, 28 Day Dry Aged NY Steak, Slow Cooked Pacific Halibut and Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon. A line of drinks from the restaurant’s bar accompanied the meal, and included everything from The Social Cooler and Grey Goose Vodka to Raspberry Lemonades and Kamikazes.
The notable star was said to have been on a year-long tour celebrating his 50th birthday.
