Tye Strickland With Melissa RycroftMemorial Day Weekend continued at The Palazzo with TV personality Melissa Rycroft and husband Tye Strickland hosting at Azure Luxury Pool on Sunday. Melissa arrived in an embellished white and teal bikini with a white cover up and her best accessory – her husband Tye.
After posing for pictures with fans, Melissa and Tye headed to their cabana and immediately ordered a Wolfgang Puck pepperoni pizza and grilled prime hamburger. While waiting for their food they danced and played the bongos with the Azure band.
Melissa talked about the new “Bachelorette” Ashley, wishing her happiness and luck in finding someone and Tye admitted to watching the show. She also said she was a Hines Ward fan and was excited he won “Dancing with the Stars.” When asked about the secret to her amazing post-baby body, she said, “I wish there was a magic secret to getting back in shape! It’s important to work out and stay healthy pre- and during baby.” The new parents are absolutely in love with three-month-old Ava but understand the importance of adult time, laughing, “You know it’s time to get away when you’re talking too much baby talk to each other!”
They gushed about The Palazzo and Azure Luxury Pool, saying, “This is the fifth or sixth time we’ve been here and we love how intimate the pool feels even when you’re surrounded by hundreds of people. The environment is so posh and really can’t be beat.”
After Azure, Melissa and Tye stopped by the USO letter kiosk in The Palazzo waterfall atrium to write a letter to the troops to let them know how much they appreciate them. From Memorial Day weekend through July 4, The Palazzo is joining with USO to honor America’s deployed soldiers by inviting guests to send words of encouragement to troops through digital kiosks.
Also seen at Azure on Sunday was “Dancing with the Stars” and Disney Channel star Chelsea Kane celebrating her top three finish on DWTS. Joined by her beau Stephen Colletti from MTV's “Laguna Beach” and “One Tree Hill,” the couple dined and enjoyed the day from an Azure cabana.
