The famed SoHo house in lower Manhattan was aglow with good energy, excited celebrities, and of course, beautiful clothes on Sunday night in celebration of the viewing of fashion's first-ever 3D film by New York-based designer Marc Bouwer. In lieu of a traditional fashion show, Bouwer chose instead to create a film that all could enjoy, featuring supermodel Selita Ebanks.
Decked out in a dress by Marc Bouwer, jewels by Simon G-also seen in the show-and arriving in a Volkswagen Touareg, Selita was certainly the brightest star of the evening. Industry friends and colleagues who came out to support the starlet included Star Jones, David Spade, Johnny Weir, Deborah Cox, Anastasia Khozzisova, Mark Indelicato, actress Reshma Shetty, actress Anika Noni Rose, and Bravo! Housewives Dina Manzo, Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Alex McCord with husband Simon, Mary Amons, and Sonja Morgan.
It was a no-brainer for Bouwer when it came to deciding on his leading lady, the stunning supermodel Selita Ebanks. "I thought it was high time that an African American model was featured on this level for a major fashion week event," the designer said. The red carpet was a veritable runway of Bouwer's designs, with celebs including Alex McCord, Mary Amons, Reshma Shetty, Anika Noni Rose, Star Jones, Teresa Giudice, several models, and of course Selita, wearing dresses from current and past collections. A fan of Marc's for years, Star Jones said, "Marc Bouwer has been dressing me since I was 250 pounds. His clothes are sexy and beautiful and make all women feel good."
As the night of glamour drew to a close, Selita wasn't the only celeb who departed in a stylish new Volkswagen Touareg. Alex McCord, Star Jones, and Deborah Cox were among others. "I had the best ride here in the Volkswagen Touareg," Selita said as she was leaving. "That moonroof is sexy!" Sexier still was the first-ever fashion film shown in 3d. Featuring makeup by Smashbox, jewelry by Simon G, and most importantly, the newest designs from beloved designer Marc Bouwer.
