NEW YORK TAO CELEBRATES 10 ANNIVERSARY

Looking fresh-faced from her overnight flight and festivities to kick off her 30th birthday in Vegas on Friday, Kim Kardashian continued celebrating at TAO New York with best friend Ciara among many other celebrities who partied and danced at TAO New York’s 10-year anniversary bash. Kardashian, who turns 30 on October 21st, arrived with a few friends and said she loved TAO for the energy, the cool vibe, and the amazing food. “There’s no other place to celebrate a special occasion—or celebrate every day--like TAO!” she said. Fans swarmed the streets to catch a glimpse of the stylish starlet who stunned on the red carpet wearing a dress by Georges Chakra. What was the birthday girl looking forward to most after her back-to-back soirees? “Spending quality time with my girl Ciara,” she said. “ We’re going to have a sleepover and wear our fuzzy Mickey Mouse slippers.” Other famous faces who turned up included Entourage’s Adrien Grenier, Missy Elliott, Kelly Rutherford, Housewife of New York Jill Zarin, Lil’ Jon, and “Spin Crowd” star Simon Huck.

On the carpet, Ciara, who wore a figure-flattering DSquared dress, dished about her new upcoming album called Basic Instinct: “This is the one that my fans are going to love the most!” she said. Kelly Rutherford, who wore Marc Bouwer, said she was thrilled to celebrate Tao’s 10-year anniversary with her mom. “It’s a special night at a special place!” she gushed.

Models in Vegas showgirl-inspired headdresses welcomed guests at the door and dancers took the main stage to keep the high energy flowing at the jam-packed restaurant/nightclub. Celebrities snacked on sushi, lobster wontons, and chicken satay throughout the evening. Kings of Leon singer Caleb Followill stayed late into night with new fiancee, Victoria’s Secret angel supermodel Lily Aldridge and brother and bandmate Jared. Meanwhile, Atlanta housewife NeNe Leakes, who was in town and is rumored to be on the new Celebrity Apprentice hung out with Missy Elliot and New York housewife Jill Zarin and The New Jersey Housewives cast member Kim G.

But the highlight of the evening came later, when TAO surprised Kim with a pink with blue polka dot cake with sparklers. While Kim and Ciara clinked glasses of champagne to celebrate a girls night out, Lil’ Jon serenaded Kim with a “Happy Birthday” song, gave her multiple birthday shout-outs, and then continued to do an impromptu song and DJ set as fans clamored to grab a glimpse of the rapper on stage. Everyone stayed until just after 2 am and the ever gracious birthday girl stopped to take photos with fans on her way out.
