Myra and Frank Weiser hosted an elegant poolside cocktail reception at their magnificent Southampton estate to kick off “An Enchanted Evening” Southampton Hospital’s 52nd Annual Summer Party to benefit The Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department. The annual party is the highlight of The Hamptons social season. On hand to welcome the guests and speak about the importance of the gala to the Hospital’s operation were this year’s gala chair Jean Shafiroff and her husband Martin Shafiroff, Southampton Hospital President & CEO Robert Chaloner and past chair Jean Remell FitzSimmons. “An Enchanted Evening”, will take place on Saturday, August 7, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Chaired by Jean Shafiroff, the event will take place under the tents on Wickapogue Road in Southampton. The Hospital is also pleased to announce that the Honorary Jewelry Chairman will be Tiffany & Co., and the Honorary Corporate Chairman is Barclays Wealth. Summer Party attendees will dance to the music of The Alex Donner Orchestra under a huge tent transformed by the imagination and creativity of Tony Urrutia, and enjoy an elegant catered dinner by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Also featured will be the popular silent auction and a raffle of fabulous and extravagant trips and prizes. There was much praise for the chair and vice-chairs. “Our Summer Party Chair, Jean Shafiroff, and her dedicated team of Vice Chairs, has done an extraordinary job of engaging old and new friends of the hospital, raising funds and promoting the party, proceeds of which will support the critical services provided by The Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department,” said Southampton Hospital Foundation President Steven M. Bernstein.
