CASBAH ATLANTIC CITY IS HEATING SHORE UP

Casbah Atlantic City

After 10 years of untamed evenings, the Casbah Night Club at Trump Taj Mahal is ramping things up. The city's original night club has undergone a transformation of sorts—one that by all accounts is hugely successful. Sure, the scene has a freshened up look and even a brand-new floor, but the real proof is in the star power and the beats that are emanating from the place. Just look to Independence Day Weekend to get a feel for the new electricity radiating through at Casbah. The already event-packed weekend just got hotter with New York City DJ icon Danny Tenaglia joining the party and inviting you to "Be Yourself." The Grammy-nominated DJ has headlined at every major spot, from NYC to Miami and beyond. And serious clubbers know that when Tenaglia is in town, his sets are not to be missed. Displaying supreme musical gifts, Tenaglia blends superhuman mixing skills with an ability to produce daring grooves that are at once smooth yet jarring. No wonder he's got piles of awards—including "Best International DJ." He's rocking Casbah on July 4th, from 10:00 p.m. till well into the morning. The reason for Casbah's reemergence is its return to its roots: a focus on the music and entertainment experience. It's a philosophy that clubbers in the know can appreciate. If the music is first-class, the scene will follow. And that's true at Casbah, the place where the beautiful people go. From Playboy Playmates, the Shannon Twins and Jennifer Pershing, DJ Summer Altice and DJ Tamara Sky, internet-sensation Cindy Margolis, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and DJ Pauly D from MTV’s The Jersey Shore and others are just some of the celebrity names that have partied at Casbah. From the moment it opened its doors in 2000, Casbah's culture of creativity has always been about groundbreaking entertainment. Nothing like this club had ever existed before in Atlantic City, and everyone else has been playing catch-up from the get-go. Some of the pioneering concepts included plugging into the big-city DJ scene and plucking spinners and mixers from in vogue spots in New York and Philadelphia. Think of the now infamous cages that made waves as professional dancers writhed and swayed to fresh beats behind a grid of metal bars. Quickly, a reputation was built. And Casbah emerged as the elite club in A.C.--a place where serious dancers and club goers head to let loose for the night. Now, DJs come to AC all the time. But back then it was revolutionary for this town. Still, it's one thing to book a DJ, but it's quite another to land a world-renowned one with legions of fans and a gift for keeping the party going. Those are the performers you'll see at Casbah. That's why Casbah is different. After hiring a new nightlife rainmaker and booking of some of the biggest talent for the summer, a new culture shift has been sparked—and it's clear that the legendary Atlantic City hotspot is continuing its commitment to innovation. Steve Sagan, the newly appointed Nightlife Manager of Casbah, comes to Trump Taj Mahal after having made a name for himself at some of the most fashionable nightspots around. Steve Sagan is one of the leading creative minds in the industry; with his fresh promotional ideas and many years of making contacts with some of the world’s top talent, it sure to be an exciting summer. "When clubbers think of A.C., they think 'Let's hit Casbah,'" said Steve Sagan, the newly appointed Nightlife Manager of Casbah. "And as our 10th anniversary approaches, it's important that we don't rest on our laurels. We've got to keep pushing the envelope." The result is a full slate of spectacular events for the summer—and beyond. From the hottest reality stars to premium liquor events, the calendar is packed with the unexpected. Known for its star sightings and big-name DJs, Casbah invites you to experience the area's ultimate club experience. Stay tuned for more details on upcoming appearances by celebrities and performers. In July alone, the Casbah jams with events. "Definition Saturdays," one of the touchstones of the club's rebirth, have fast become the hottest nights in A.C. July 3rd will start this epic weekend event. Dubbed "Star-Spangled Saturday," the night will feature a live performance by Chris Willis. The singer/songwriter blends an R&B/gospel sound with house/dance/electronica genres, helping him become a major player in the club circuit. Known for his work with David Guetta, Willis' hits include "Love is Gone" and the 2010 summer club anthem "No Gettin' Over." The latter is a track he recorded with industry heavyweights David Guetta, Fergie and LMFAO. On July 4th Danny Tenaglia takes over Casbah for the “Be Yourself Party”. Anchoring the decks will be Casbah resident DJ Yan and special guest Michael Myers on the main stage. Outside at StarBar, special guests Tom Colontonio and John Creamer, of Creamer and K, take over the rooftop deck and are sure to spin the crowd into a frenzy. Be one of the more than 2,000 expected to let loose at this sell-out event—before it's too late. The StarBar is Casbah's best-kept secret weapon—another aspect to this venue's upsurge. Why the buzz? Because the StarBar is the only spot in A.C. that offers bottle service with a view. Beyond the plush VIP booths, the beach and the Atlantic Ocean stretch out beneath you. You're outside, under the stars amid a gentle summer breeze with top DJs providing the pulsing soundtrack to your night. It's an added dimension to the already heightened sensory experience you get when partying here at Casbah. Don’t worry--there's no letdown after the Fourth. On July 10, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino returns to Casbah to celebrate his birthday. "The Situation” and fellow "Jersey Shore" castmate DJ Pauly D, have partied at Taj Mahal before. Now "The Situation" returns, more popular than ever. He'll begin the night at Trump Plaza's Beach Bar. Then he'll head over to Casbah at midnight, when things really start to heat up. On July 16, don't miss our Miss Red Hot Lingerie show. Then on July 17 it's DaCav5, the incredibly popular five-person pop/hip-hop group. Kaci Battaglia, with hits "Crazy Possessive" and "Body Shots" (a joint effort with Ludacris), performs on July 24. And on July 30th it’s Show us your "O" Face night with a party hosted by Three Olives Vodka. Great drinks and painted models promise to make this evening quite interesting. Anyone who knows the night scene knows that Casbah is the original place to party. And with an ever-increasing surge in popular performers, the iconic hotspot has sent pulse waves throughout the region. Looks like the place that started it all is just getting started. It’s gonna be a hot summer! Rev up your night with Casbah’s house DJs and club dancers for all the makings of an exciting evening at Atlantic City’s most sizzling club to party in. Dress to impress.
