The Chicago Police took on Chicago Fire Fighters in an energetic hot wing eating contest on April 7 at Dick's Last Resort to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Todd Schultz, from The Jerry Springer Show did the play-by-play as our first responders stuffed chicken wings into their mouths. On hand for any medical emergencies was Dr. Ian Smith of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club fame. Mancow Muller of The Mancow Experience syndicated radio show kept the crowd on their feet as he emceed the event. Early in the evening, Dr. Ian forbid Todd from trying to enter the event. When asked why, Dr. Ian said "I've seen Todd eat before and it's not a pretty sight. I can't do that to the good people here." When Todd from Springer was asked to respond he no comment...because his mouth was full of chicken wings. Dr Ian has scheduled Todd for a private consultation next week. Everyone had fun and lots of money was raised for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thanks to the all the celebrities who attended, but as always, it was the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Police Department that went beyond the call of duty to support kids and a great charity cause.
