Each body area requires six treatments, spaced six-to-eight weeks apart, to ensure permanent hair reduction. The length of time for each treatment varies dependent upon body area, ranging from one minute (e.g., upper lip), to fifteen minutes (e.g., bikini line), to one hour (e.g., legs). Laser hair removal is most successful for those with darker hair, resulting in permanent reduction. While those with lighter hair may not see completely permanent results, laser treatments will cause the hair to grow softer and less frequently.
