STARS LOSE BATTLE OVER SANITATION GARAGE

Stars Jennifer Connelly along with Kirsten Dunst and REM's Michael Stipe have lost their campaign against the construction of a sanitation department in their New York City neighborhood, after a judge rejected a lawsuit opposing the huge project. Big Apple officials have announced plans to erect a $346 million garage complex to store the city's garbage trucks in the very trendy SoHo area of the city. Residents Connolly and husband Paul Bettany, Dunst, Stipe, Lou Reed and John Slattery all protested the proposal, urging city planners to build a smaller facility in another location. Earlier this week, a judge gave the project the green light.
