Michael Phelps Olympic champion Michael Phelps has apologised for his "regrettable" behavior after photos surfaced of the star athlete using a glass pipe associated with Marijuana use. The British newspaper the News of the World published a shot of the gold medal-winning athlete holding a pipe, more commonly referred to as a bong , to his lips at a party in South Carolina, Columbia that took place last November.The publication alleges that Phelps was at a house visiting his secret girlfriend, student Jordan Matthews, and left party people in shock with his behavior.In a statement released today, Phelps says, "I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. "I’m 23 years old, and despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me. "For this, I am sorry. The pop star found herself in the spotlight after she was pictured looking much more fatter on-stage at a concert in Pembroke Pines, Florida last week. The pictures prompted speculation about her weight gain, with the star’s sister Ashlee branding the media attention "embarrassing and belittling" in an angry rant on her blog. Former supermodel Kate Moss is reportedly going to try her hand at acting with the help of a top Hollywood director. Kate is getting help from Leaving Las Vegas director Michael Figgis. Figgis had directed Moss in a web film for underwear firm Agent Provocateur in 2006. A friend of the model tells the British tabloid News of the World, "Figgis and Kate have been discussing possible projects and he is helping her work with the right people." Moss, who turned 35 last month, won’t be giving up the runway completely and will continue to model at the same time. The friend adds, "She has always dreamed of acting. A California court hearing has been scheduled to review former toxic singer Britney Spears temporary restraining order against her former manager and friend Sam Lutfi and ex-boyfriend paparazzi Adnan Ghalib this month. The pop singer’s lawyers petitioned for the order on Friday, after Spears reportedly told her conservators - her father, Jamie, and lawyer Andrew Wallet - that she feared Lutfi would attempt another legal attack on the conservatorship, according TMZ .Spears’ estate was permanently placed under their care last October, following a series of very public meltdowns. According to Usmagazine.com , court documents allege Lutfi attempted to contact Spears through her hairdresser and one of Jamie’s lawyers; he is also accused of sending "anonymous, harassing and threatening" messages to the singer’s father. Reality show star Paris Hilton has bought a London Mansion. The new home is just doors away from rehab singer Amy Winehouse, according to reports. Icon Paris, purchased the beautiful $2.9 million trendy home in the heart of the city’s Camden district, after she spent time in the U.K. filming her reality Television show Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend. And according to British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, Hilton plans to spend another $365,000 improving the property.Neighbor's include Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, Blur rocker Graham Coxon and wild Amy Winehouse. A source tells the publication, "Paris started looking for a base when she was last in the U.K. to film her reality show, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend.
