Cavi At Nascar

CAVI recently sponsored rising NASCAR driver, Josh Wise as he competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ O’Reilly Challenge on Saturday, November 7, 2009. With a successful season so far, Wise continued to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with on the track with just two races remaining in the season. Finishing seven places ahead of his start position, Wise crossed the waving checkered flag sixteen positions in the lead of the final car. Partnering with Wise through the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, CAVI continued to set trends on the track, infusing trend-setting fashions into the world of motorsports. Unveiled at the Saturday afternoon race, CAVI outfitted Wise in a brand new uniform, specially designed just for him, and re-customized Wise’s race car, each adorned with the distinctive signature CAVI crest. Born and raised in Riverside, California, Wise competed in his very first race at the age of seven, starting a love of motorsports has been a longtime shared family passion. The twenty-five-year-old California native moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to launch his NASCAR career in 2007. Succeeding right from the start, Wise competed in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, where he earned one pole award, finished second a total of three times and had seven top-ten finishes. Last year, Wise made sure to leave a lasting impression in the sport, starting off the season testing for Michael Waltrip Racing. Just a quarter of the way through the season, Wise was granted the opportunity to drive the No. 22 Supercuts Dodge for Fitz Motorsports in the Nationwide Series. This year, Wise has taken over the No. 58 Chevrolet, competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In a different sports arena, standing undefeated in the boxing ring, Yuri Foreman is set to make history as the first ever Israeli boxer to compete for a world title this weekend, as he is set to partner with CAVI. The twenty-nine-year-old, Belarus-born athlete began boxing at the young age of seven, before he and his family immigrated to Israel two years later. There, Yuri began competing as an amateur, fighting in the European style. Foreman became an amateur boxer, winning three national championships and compiled an impressive 75-5 record of wins. Foreman later moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1999, where he continues to reside today with his wife Leyla Leidecker, a Hungarian model and a boxer herself. Foreman soon began training at the famed Gleason’s Gym, combining European and American styles of boxing and sparring with other up-and-coming boxers. In 2001, Foreman was awarded the New York Golden Gloves; a year later, Foreman turned professional. Known for his patient boxing ability, Foreman often applies a highly effective safety-first style, followed up by tough defense, hard counter punches and unparalleled conditioning and speed. As of May 2009, the 5’11’’ boxing powerhouse remains undefeated in twenty-seven fights with eight knockouts. Leading up to his historic November 14, 2009 match-up against Daniel Santos at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, CAVI has entered an ongoing sponsorship with Foreman. Joining forces for this first match, CAVI will adorn Foreman with specially designed boxing trunks and robe, customized just for him.
