The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City hosted its 6th Annual Fete de Swifty event to benefit the New York City Family Justice Center Initiative, a unique public/private program administered by the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence. This year, Tim Gunn, Mariska Hargitay and Nicole Kidman are serving as the honorary chairs of the event. Fete de Swifty committee members include Fete De Swifty founder Liz Smith, Stephen Attoe, Robert Caravaggi, David Patrick Columbia, Deborah Krulewitch, Christopher Meigher, Gillian Miniter and Peter Rogers. In addition, CharityBuzz.com is partnering with the Mayor's Fund to host the online auction, featuring a variety of exciting items and experiences.Fete de Swifty’s combination of street fair and cocktail party has been a unique event in New York City since 2004. Over that time, Fete has raised critical funds to support the New York City Family Justice Center Initiative of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence. This innovative program enables victims to meet with a prosecutor, speak with a trained counselor, and apply for housing and financial assistance in just one visit while their children play safely. Providing services in one location with partnering City agencies and community providers increases the effectiveness of service delivery to help break the cycle of violence. The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City serves as the umbrella not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization for the City of New York.
