Boy George is very happy after prison officials removed his electronic tag, declaring himself a "free" man. The former Culture Club icon, was jailed in January for the false imprisonment and assault of male escort Audun Carlsen in 2007. The famed singer was granted early release for good behavior in May but was fitted with an ankle-monitoring tag and forced to have a curfew. But officials removed the tag on Monday, and Boy George invited his whole family to his house to celebrate his "de-tagging." He posted pictures of the event on his
Twitter page and wrote, "In the words of (British actor) John Inman 'I'm free!' Me and the whole family celebrating in the kitchen, so sweet for my mom and sister to come for the un-tagging! I'm so excited to just be able to work!"
