POLICE LASH OUT AT PATTINSON'S SECURITY

The New York City police are criticizing Twilight star Robert Pattinson's security team. They are insisting the actor’s bodyguards are incapable of handling the mobs he’s attracted while filming in the Big Apple. Pattinson has been shooting his new movie, Remember Me, in the city, and was recently hit by a taxi while trying to escape a group of over-excited devotees. New York City Police officials are insisting he needs better security to cope with climbing safety concerns. A police source tells IrishCentral.com, "Enough is enough. His security people aren’t up to the task of keeping him safe, and they have no idea how to deal with the crowds this guy attracts." Just last month Pattinson urged his fans to treat him with more respect and keep their distance, admitting he is often scared to go outside because of the screaming girls who follow his every move. He told reporters, "People ambush me and try and find out what hotel I’m staying at, as well as wanting to touch my hair. Everyone just screams and screams. It feels surreal."
