Bob Balaban, Stuart Suna, Alec Baldwin, Davis Guggenheim, Tom Scott, Gina Glickman, Dan Rattiner, and Elisabeth Shue, were among the guests spotted indulging in the Chipotle Guacamole and some were sipping Dirty Bird Margaritas at the Blue Parrot in East Hampton after the screening of It Might Get Loud at Guild Hall. The Blue Parrot, that go-to “quirky, laid-back Tex-Mex bar and restaurant” in East Hampton, has returned to a town of delighted local residents and summertime visitors. Having closed shop in 2006, Blue Parrot is back as the town’s favorite authentic dive bar, meeting place and local joint. The Blue Parrot brings together local residents and summertime visitors, offering a refreshing, casual and pretense-free atmosphere. In any attire, walk into this quirky hole-in-the-wall locale and you are sure to spot just about anyone, as everyone is welcome. Guests gathered at the eatery after the Hamptons International Film Festival’s anticipated screening. It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos – The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented. Concentrating on the artist’s musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations, provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories teach and play.
