Native New Yorker and clubman door deity turned thespian – Wass Stevens, commences shooting his multi-episode guest bounty hunter stint on “Ugly Betty” this week for editrix most-est Wilhelmina Slater. “The show is so much fun. I am really looking forward to it,” Stevens tells us. (We sure wish we could say the same thing for our own nine-to-fives!) But this past weekend Stevens was spotted playing a different part – that of the striped fashionable kind while doing a turn about the grounds at the annual fete that is the Mercedes Benz Polo Match season opener, out in Bridgehampton. Staying true to his roots Stevens greeted and registered the crowd before retiring to the VIP tent to chat with the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Beth Ostrosky, Kyle Maclachlan, Star Jones – who was a glow on the arm of her new man, Herb Wilson.
