Les Walgreen And Howard Stern

According to The New York Post, “Howard Stern has whipped the tag team of Bill Clinton and Chevy Chase on the charity circuit. Recently, CharityBuzz.com held an online auction to raise money for Chase's Healthy School Lunch Programs, pitting a morning of hanging out with the shock jock during his Sirius radio show against lunch with Clinton and Chase at the ex-president's Harlem office. While a Wall Street investments man paid $82,000 for the Bill and Chevy nosh, Stern ruled as drugstore magnate Les Walgreen plunked down a whopping $101,000 to be with the King of All Media”. Walking onto the floor of Sirius Radio was unbelievable, everything and everyone was just as I’d imagined. After being escorted to the Green Room we met comedian Greg Fitzsimmons who was going on Howard’s show for the 60th time. Artie Lange, producer Gary Dell’Abate, “babba booey” and just about everyone I've heard on his radio show. Robin Quivers truly is 'the voice of reason.' I enjoyed talking to her about her charity work with Alicia Keyes, 'Keep a Child Alive' organization. I must say, I found Howard to be a gentleman. I was sitting in the Green Room after the Intern's Beauty Pageant when asked to go on the show with Les. I thought about it for three seconds then said yes and am glad that I did. Howard is a very quick witted man and a visionary, watching him 'in action' on the radio show was amazing. Les said he would love another chance to go on Howard's show. His head set wasn't working so he was unable to hear questions asked and he did not get a tour of the station as promised. Les wanted to promote the movie Electrified that he recently produced rather than Walgreen's, but was only asked questions about Walgreen's. I guess having the name Walgreen is a blessing and a curse, especially when trying to make your own mark on the world. Howard, what do you think, will you give Les another opportunity to be on your show? It would be for the benefit of charity. I can confirm that he's got some great material to discuss.
