Sexy Jessica Simpson is canning gossip reports that she approached Britney Spears to join her in a new television show. The singer wanted Spears to team up with her for a comedy comparable to the beloved funny series Laverne & Shirley, according to Globe magazine. But Simpson’s father/manager Joe has taken to social networking website Twitter.com to brush off the claims. He writes: "Rumor incorrect… no jess-brit show.. luv (sic) brit.. just no show."
